JC's Signup System is a private system, for use by club members. It is a tool for communicating invitations and event statuses to club members, as well as accepting signups for club events. By using the website, you agree to use it solely for its intended purpose.
User responsibilities
Events
When signing up for events, your display name becomes visible to other users attending the same event. It is your responsibility to ensure that your participation is in good faith toward.
Privacy
All club members are familiar with each other in real life, therefore your name is not considered to be private information within the context of the club. Your privacy is respected and this system will handle your personal E-mail address and text messaging phone number as described in the Privacy Policy below. By using this website, you consent to the collection and use of your information as outlined therein.
Limitation of liability
JC's Signup System is provided "as is," and no guarantees are made regarding its availability or functionality. JC is not responsible for any losses or damages resulting from your use of the website nor your participation in club events.
Termination
JC, in his sole discretion, reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the system for violation of these Terms and Conditions or any inappropriate conduct at events, toward club members and/or toward this web site.
Changes to terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page, and the "Effective Date" at the top will be updated. Significant changes will be communicated to you via email or through prominent notice on the website.

How your information is used
Club members are not anonymous. We all know each other in real life. As a result, your name is not considered to be private within the club.
Your personal information is used to:
Event Status Pages: When you sign up for an event, your display name becomes visible to other users who have also signed up for the same event. No other personal information is shared.
Display name: Your display name is likely your first name and last initial. In the event that this results in duplication or ambiguity, additional letters and/or your middle initial may be included. If necessary, a nickname may be utilized as all or part of your display name.
Information sharing
Your information is not sold, rented, or shared with outside parties except in the course of utilizing our service providers as noted in the following paragraph.
Google Workspace provides this site's E-mail services. Twilio porivdes this site's text messaging services. Obviously, information contained within or necessary for routing the messages is visible to these providers. The web site itself is hosted via Amazon Web Services; all site information is contained on their physical systems. Backups of the web site and its database may be stored on a device located in JC's home.
Data security
We implement reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. However, no system is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights and choices
You may update/remove your E-mail address or text messaging phone number by logging in to the web site. At least one or the other is required in order to use this system.
